A lot happens in a month!

The West Osceola Branch Library, in the space of one month, went from a concrete shell filled with high-reaches and paint buckets to a nearly finished product with carpet, paint, lights and carpentry -- furniture on the docket to be delivered very soon.  The next step will be setting up the new library's collections, flushing toilets, testing computers, etc. to get the library ready for a late winter opening.

Take a look at how the library is developing.

By Thanksgiving, the exterior was almost completed.

Inside, painters attempt to find the right shade of gold for the floating ceiling.

Teens will get their own room with books, computers and lounge chairs.

The Library will have a separate entrance from the rear.

The carpet goes in.

Bright carpet adds to the fun and modern library design.

The front entrance is bright and inviting.

The built in book return at the service desk echoes the circular columns.

The service desk will be viewable from all spots in the Library.

The Library will have a long-awaited large multipurpose room.

Circles is a prevalent design theme.

The service desk up close -- computers and self check out stations are coming next.

Landscaping and a bike rack go in, as does a curb-side book drop for convenient drop off.

The new library's address will be 305 Campus Street.
